A Node and relay Tech team that has been with Cardano ADA since Haskell test net days. Proven record of up time. Our system was built with smart contracts and Peer to Peer traffic in mind.
I am a USMC Veteran who invested in Cardano ADA after watching Charles Hokinson's iconic white board presentation, I decided that Cardano ADA was a solid cryptocurrency to invest in. Later, I decided to create a Cardano ADA stake pool. A stake pool is similar to cryptocurrency mining, but using a Proof of Stake model which is as much as a million times more energy efficient.
You have many choices with whom you can stake your Cardano ADA. My hope is that you will choose Troutpool because we give back to our Disabled Veterans who in some cases are in desperate need of help. We are proud to give 1% to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing https://projecthealingwaters.org/
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
Cardano ADA is in my opinion is the best cryptocurrency asset to invest in, due to the massive amount of white papers that have been written, peer reviewed, and cited by industry experts. In addition, Cardano ADA is is environmentally sustainable as apposed to cryptocurrency mining models like Ethereum and BTC which consume huge amounts of non renewable resources equal to small nations.
Cardano has eras which span from Byron, that started it all, to Goguen which will usher in Smart Contracts and decentralized apps (DAPP) Decentralized Financed (DEFI) Decentralized Exchanges (DEX), and later to Voltaire which will bring governance to Cardano ADA.
Currently, the easiest way to stake your Cardano ADA is to create a Yoroi wallet. Yoroi is an extension for the most popular browsers. A Yoroi wallet is an app that contains Cardano ADA or other coins that can be delegated for rewards or spent with a vendor (future iterations). Always download from an official site. Write down and secure your pass keys.
So you want to buy Cardano ADA but you are not sure exactly how to do so? Take a look at my YouTube video using the link below. Remember, If you have your ADA on an exchange like Binance.us, or Coinbase, you really don't actually own it. You own something like a silver certificate. You only own ADA when you have the keys to the blockchain it is build on. Not your Keys, not your coin. To own your ADA you have to send it from your exchange to you own wallet. Why not own your Cardano ADA blocks "and" earn ~5.5% ADA annually? Set up a Yoroi wallet in 3 minutes and then Delegate to Troutpool for a great return on your investment.
Is ADA like Bitcoin (BTC)?
Yes, in the sense that it is a distributed ledger (or blockchain). Bitcoin though, is a simple storage of value. But BTC uses cryptocurrency mining rather than proof of stake (POS).
The next step in the evolution of cryptocurrency mining was Ethereum (ETH) . ETH has smart contracts, which is programable money, but it is slow and at times has extremely high fees to conduct transactions. Many times fees are far north of $70.
Enter Cardano ADA. It too will have smart contracts very soon, but is much much faster. It costs less in fees .17 ADA which is currently .20 cents. Plus, it allows programmers to use the programing language of their choice. In my opinion, ADA is clearly a better solution to the two coins mentioned above.
What is a blockchain? Fundamentally it is a distributed ledger.
Think of a distributed as a encrypted spread sheet. The spread sheet is validated for authenticity by many stake pools. Currently there are over 2600 stake pools. If there is a problem with the spread sheet the stake pools automatically catch the problem. In this way the block chain is virtually impossible to forge. Each pool verifies the block so it is decentralized much like the internet is decentralized. So to is the blockchain which makes decentralized finance (Defi) so appealing.
